Angie Greene
I absolutely love what I do!
I bring energy and preparation to what I do ... along with a little of my natural awkwardness and humour that allows audiences to relate to a human instead of a professional stereotype.
This website is a snapshot of what I do, but I’m always up for a random request. If you have an idea or something completely different in mind, I’d love to hear from you.

LGBTIQA+ Allyship Presentation
I’m a passionate ally to the queer community for both personal and sociological reasons.
I know this can feel like a tricky space for some people - where they’re worried about asking the “wrong” question or saying the wrong thing.
My approach is simple: meet people where they’re at, use language everyone understands, create a genuinely judgement-free space for questions, and give people practical, tangible ways to make the environments around them more inclusive.

MC & Event Hosting
Weddings. International Women’s Day. School fundraisers. Galas. Marriage Equality campaigns. Book launches...
I'm up for any type of event! If I believe that I can bring the style, energy and vibe you're after — I’m in.
I’m not sure there’s one particular “vibe” I cater to. One event might have me reading poetry, the next discussing research, and the next… rapping to WAP.
.I adapt to diferent audiences, authentically.

Mental Health Advocacy
I am beyond passionate about advocating for Mental Health.
I host a Podcast called 'It's Not What You Think' alongside Penny Moodie and Alison Cosker, which focuses on living with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. And ... It's not what you think.
If you are looking for someone who can speak about mental health from a lived experience and do it in a way that includes heart, humour, and maybe some un-hingedness in a fully transparent and educational way — I would love to hear from you.
A Few Testimonials...
"Angie Greene is one of the most courageous allies I've ever met. She has consistently stood up when others have chosen to stay silent, and in doing so has helped redefine what genuine allyship looks like in Australia. She combines empathy with big action, making people feel truly seen while driving serious and meaningful change across organisations and communities. Professionally and personally, Angie has earned my complete trust and admiration. If you're looking for someone who creates lasting impact and not just conversation, you won't find anyone better."
Scott O'Halloran. AKA Sassy Scott from Luke and Sassy Scott
"If you're looking for an entertaining, witty, and engaging MC then Angie is your person! Angie hosted my book launch (before we met in person!) and I could not have found a better person to do it. She was reliable, prepared, and brought so much fun and laughter to the event. Angie is so comfortable in front of a crowd, and she will match whatever vibe it is you're hoping to create. She's also just one of the best people you will ever meet."
Penny Moodie. Author of 'The Joy Thief' and Co-Host of 'It's Not What You Think'
"Angie is that magic combination of charm, humour, and infectious energy that immediately puts everyone at ease — there is nobody else I would have trusted with my launch. I had a very diverse crowd arriving from all around the country, and Angie made everyone feel welcome so I could enjoy the night. Everything was taken care of before I even knew about it, and she made the whole event both really easy and a whole lot of fun."
Cameron O'Sullivan.
Author of 'The Red Winter'
"Angie was, without question, the perfect choice to MC our wedding.
Her genuine passion for equality made having her there particularly meaningful, but what makes Angie so special is simply who she is. She is one of the warmest, kindest, and most genuine people we know. She has a beautiful way of making everyone feel comfortable and included, and she brings so much heart and humour to everything she does.
Despite being incredibly talented, Angie is wonderfully modest and humble.
She understood what the day meant to us and somehow made an already incredibly special day even more memorable.
We couldn't recommend Angie highly enough."
Jarrad and Michael Duggan-Tierney (AKA The Real Dads Of Melbourne)
"In the past, our little suburban school has struggled to find someone to host our annual social and fundraising night for parents and carers.
Enter Angie! MC extraordinaire!
At our recent Bingo Night, Angie had the entire crowd engaged and entertained from beginning to end. Everyone was in fits of laughter, and a wonderful night was had by all.
Angie, thank you for making our night such a huge success and for helping our school raise much-needed funds. Your energy, humour, and ability to get everyone involved made such a difference.
We can’t wait to have you back!"
Jaci Lundy
Parent and Friends Association, Primary School
"Ange is one of the most caring, determined, and energetic people I’ve worked with. She has an uncanny ability to make you feel jazzed and safe all at once. She is fierce in her advocacy for the queer community.
10/10, would recommend!"
Darcy Vescio. AFL Player
"I’ve had the pleasure of working with Angie through Stand Up Events, where I’ve seen first-hand the passion, energy, and genuine commitment she brings to making sport a safer and more inclusive environment for everyone.
Her advocacy is grounded in a deep understanding of sport. Coming from a professional sporting family, she understands the pressures and culture that exist within elite sport.
Angie brings an incredible level of energy and authenticity to this work. She has a real ability to challenge people to think differently while making them feel part of the solution."
Matt Spangher. Former AFL Premiership Player and Head of Football Strategy and Projects at Hawthorn Football Club
